📄 The agreement

Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 July 2026 · Applies to numbercadets.com and readingcadets.com

⚠️ Before you publish: a working draft. Replace [LEGAL ENTITY] and [GOVERNING JURISDICTION], and have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer. This is not legal advice.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you (the account holder — a parent, guardian, or teacher) and [LEGAL ENTITY] ("we", "us"), covering your use of the Cadets Academy services: Number Cadets and Reading Cadets. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a school, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

2. Accounts & agents

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account. Children use the service only as "agents" under an adult's account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account.
  • Family accounts may create up to the number of agents stated on the plan; Classroom accounts may add students up to the stated class size.

3. Subscriptions, billing & the free case

  • The first mystery is free. Full access requires an active subscription.
  • Paid plans are billed through Stripe at the price and interval shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
  • We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes do not affect the period you have already paid for.

4. Acceptable use

Please use the service as intended. You agree not to: share or resell access; try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service; or use it unlawfully. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other users at risk.

5. Our content

The activities, characters, artwork, and curriculum content are ours (or our licensors') and are provided for your personal or classroom use with an active account. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative products from them.

6. Educational service, not a guarantee

We build the activities to align with Common Core standards and to be genuinely useful, but we do not guarantee any particular educational outcome, score, or result.

7. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the service running reliably but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change, or retire features over time.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is", and our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.

10. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION]. For questions, see our Privacy Policy for contact details.
